About the job:

We are looking for a recently graduated engineer from an Armenian university to begin the exciting role of starting a QustomApps software development office in Armenia, and more specifically the role of developing simulation tools for the rapidly growing hydrogen storage industry. QustomApps provides simulation tools for a diverse range of engineering applications used in the aerospace, defense, and mobility sectors. Ours tools are embedded into the large finite element codes such as Abaqus, Ansys, Apex and Femap in order to extend their capabilities to specific applications. Our flagship tool, WoundSim, is used world-wide to simulate the performance of composite overwrapped pressure vessels (COPVs) which are used to store fuel for rockets, spacecraft, fuel-cell based autos, and much more. QustomApps is currently partnered Human Resource specialist Tania Sahakian, who has extensive experience in the Armenian tech sector, to find a self-motivated, ambitious engineer to build state of the art software, and a strong engineering team in Armenia. Baseline Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace engineering with a focus on structural engineering
  • College courses should include statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, structural analysis and numerical methods
  • Programming experience in compiled languages such as Fortran or C++ and in scripted languages such as Java, Python, Perl etc.
  • Strong verbal and written English skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to manage engineering programmers
  • Occasional international travel may be required (1-2 times per year)

Preferred experience:

  • Experience with finite element codes such as Abaqus, Ansys, or Nastran
  • Experience with programming languages of Python and Fortran
  • Advanced knowledge of non-linear finite element analysis and theory
  • Knowledge of composites and/or fracture mechanics

Responsibilities:

  • Administration setup of development office (scouting office location, meeting government regulations for operating an office of an international company)
  • Working with QustomApps office in Ponder, Texas to develop FEA translator for WoundSim
  • Develop quality assurance algorithms
  • Provide back-end customer support
